Italian Mountaineer Sergio Martini
Birthday: 1949/03/10
Teams: Act alone to participate in his team or share climbing licenses in the mountains
Sponsor: None
Status: Still on the way
Of the 10 mountaineers who had completed 14 8000M climbs, Sergio Martini was the seventh person to finish and was the second Italian to complete the feat after Renault Messner. He is not considered a "professional" mountaineer. In fact, he has been teaching in a public school. He uses the weekend holiday as a training. He persists in his efforts according to his own ideas. He has finally accomplished great achievements.
Sergio Martini lives in a small town called Rovereto in the north of Italy. He began climbing the mountains in the 1960s and has just climbed the northern wall of Marmolada while climbing Patzonia to Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre.
In 1976, Sergio Martini started the Himalayan peak at the age of 27, and for the first time climbed Dhaulagiri, but it was not until 1983 that he successfully climbed the 8000M peak for the first time, the first time being the hardest K2. From that year onwards, he plans to plan an annual 8000M Kyoho, 1985 Macaru, 1986 South Kampala and Anna Pruna, 1987 Jiashubru Moufeng, 1988 Choo You and Xishabang. Ma, 1989 Dhaulagiri, 1993 Bloat, 1994 Jiashubru Moufeng, 1995 Gancheng Zhangjia, 1996 Manasulu, Lhotse 1997, 1998 Jungfrau (Done), 2000 Year two Deng Lhotse.
Sergio Martini has been living a peaceful life: school, family, climbing. It was not until the Friends of the Italian Alpine Academy held a party for 800 people to attend him. He announced the process of 14 of his 8000M, but he was still humble and said "Thank you, but I'm not an 8000M superstar. I'm not Messner. .."
Sergio Martini brings a reflection to the mountaineering community: There are still many climbers trying to climb difficult routes? Like Messner, the late Jerzy Kukuczka, Ehardt Loretan and Krzysztof Wielicki, they have made many amazing achievements, but are there still people trying to enter this great little circle?
