Editor's note: Inkjet printers are getting cheaper and cheaper, and they have been accepted by many home users. However, many of my friends are still not familiar with inkjet printers, causing some troubles when purchasing and using them. Now we simply talk about the maintenance of inkjet printers from three aspects: nozzle, ink and ink cartridges:
First, the nozzle maintenance Inkjet printer nozzle consists of many small nozzles. The size of the nozzle is similar to that of dust particles. If dust, small debris, etc. enter the nozzle, the nozzle will be blocked and no ink can be ejected. It is also easy to stain the nozzle panel with ink. Even if air enters the nozzle, poor ink ejection may occur. Therefore, the maintenance of the nozzle is very important. In daily maintenance, it should be done:
(1) Do not remove the spray head from the main unit and place it separately, especially under conditions of high temperature and low humidity. If you leave it for a long time, the moisture contained in the ink will gradually evaporate, and the dry ink will cause the nozzle to clog. If the nozzle is obstructed, the cleaning operation should be performed. If cleaning fails, replace the new nozzle.
(2) Avoid touching the nozzle surface with your fingers and tools to prevent the nozzle surface from being damaged or debris, oil, etc. blocking the nozzle. Do not blow to the nozzle area, do not apply sweat, oil, drugs (alcohol), etc. to the nozzle, causing changes in the composition and viscosity of the ink, causing the ink to freeze and block. Do not wipe the nozzle surface with a tissue, lens paper, cloth, etc.
(3) It is best not to turn off the power while the printer is printing. The printer can be turned to the OFF LINE state first. When the nozzle is blocked, the power can be turned off and the plug can be unplugged. Otherwise, for some models of printers, the printer cannot perform capping operations, and exposure of the nozzles to dry air can cause the ink to dry up.
Second, the use of ink and ink cartridges (1) Ink cartridges should be stored in sealed bags before use. The temperature is appropriate at room temperature. If the temperature is too low, the ink in the cartridge freezes. If the ink is placed in a high temperature environment for a long time, the ink composition will change.
(2) Do not place the ink tank in direct sunlight. When installing the ink tank, be careful not to allow the dust to mix with the ink and block the nozzle. For printer heads that are separate from the ink tank, do not touch the ink outlet of the ink tank with your hands to avoid impurities.
(3) In order to guarantee the print quality, it is necessary to use the ink that matches the performance of the printer. The ink cartridge is a disposable item and should be replaced after use. The ink tank cannot be filled with ink.
(4) The ink is conductive. Therefore, the used ink should be prevented from splashing on the printed circuit board of the printer to avoid short circuits. If the printed circuit board is stained with ink, wipe it off with an alcohol-based paper towel.
(5) Do not disassemble the removable ink tank to avoid printer malfunction.
