The name of a stimulant triggered by a lipstick

A lipstick triggers a stimulant ban, and the athlete appealed to shorten the ban period, but the International Sports Arbitration Tribunal has extended it for 5 months! The scene of such a tragedy occurred on the 28-year-old Norwegian cross-country skiing female athlete Tracey Iogh.

In October last year, Tracey-Yorhaug's samples were found to contain chlorhexoses. At the time, she argued that the banned drug was derived from its use of sunscreen lipstick. Norwegian ski team doctor Flinders Derek Benjiksen resigned because he suggested that Tracey Iohouge use the lipstick. Afterwards, the B bottle sample also tested positive.

On January 25 of this year, at the hearing of Tracey-Jauurg, the Norwegian anti-doping agency lawyer Kyal, who is responsible for the testimony, also believes that the banned drug content in the athlete's test sample is only 13 micrograms. , it is through the lipstick into his body.

Perhaps considering this scenario, Norway's anti-doping agency originally proposed to ban Treyet-Yorhaeg for 14 months, and the actual penalty is 13 months. The suspension period starts from October 18, 2016.

However, the 13-month ban suspended by the Norwegian Olympic Committee was considered too light by the International Ski Federation, which increased the suspension period to 18 months. However, this triggered a controversy within the International Snow Federation. The focus was on how much responsibility Tracey Jorah would have to bear. This drug was purchased from foreign countries. How could she and her doctors be wary?

In the end, the International Sports Arbitration Tribunal gave the reasons for the punishment. "Yorhaeg did not perform the most basic inspection of the packaging. Because the packaging not only lists the names of prohibited substances used as raw materials, it also has a clear warning against banned drugs."

Tracy-Yorhaeg appealed to shorten the 13-month ban, allowing her to compete in the 2017-2018 season. Unexpectedly, not only failed to succeed, but the arbitral tribunal supported the 18 months suspended by the International Snow Federation. The Norwegian Olympic Committee only gave her a 13-month suspended ban. In fact, it was to ensure that she could participate in the 2018 Winter Olympics. Now it has been extended to 18 months, and she will bid farewell to Pyeongchang.

Tracey Jorah was the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics Champion, third place in the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics; in addition, she also won two World Cup championships and two multi-stage ski championships.
