Russian "plastic" cement come out

Researchers at Mendeyev University of Technology in Russia added special bituminous latex to concrete to successfully develop plastic concrete building materials with good performance that can be used in the construction of airport runways, docks, and seismic belt buildings.
In order to increase the plasticity of the solidified cement solution in the concrete, the contact mode between the cement crystal bodies must be changed. At present, the solution to this problem is to add bituminous latex to the concrete. Because the asphalt solution is uneven, it cannot be evenly fixed on the surface of the cement molecules, and special surface active materials are added. The asphalt emulsion can be adsorbed on the surface of the solidified cement particles in the form of a thin film. As a result, researchers obtained special cement structures—plastic concrete. This kind of concrete has good plasticity, its strength is 2 times that of similar materials, and it also has good corrosion resistance.
Many countries in the world have long used concrete as a surface layer in the construction of highways instead of using asphalt. However, due to the temperature difference between morning and evening, there will be cracks in the concrete surface. The usual solution to this problem is to cut the concrete surface over a certain distance, but doing so affects the quality of the road conditions. Relevant experts believe that the plastic concrete developed by Russian researchers solves this problem.
