1 solid color overprint
When the upper layer and the lower layer overlap, press the “Real Color Overprint†button to mix the colors of the upper and lower graphics. The mixed colors are calculated in the following manner:
C1 > C2, C mixed = C1
M1 < M2, M mixed = M2
Y1 > Y2, Y mixed = Y1
K1 < K2, K mixed = K2
2 transparent overprint
This command turns a color that overlaps the upper layer into a translucent color with a certain transparency. Transparency can be set in the Transparent Overprint Options dialog.
3 traps
Trap is a term used in the printing industry. In the case of four-color overprinting, due to the accuracy of the operation and the wet shrinkage deformation of the paper, the color overprinting is not aligned, and the white edge is leaked. To avoid whitening, use "traps" to make up for it.
The default value can be used in the Pathfinder Trap dialog. It is best to study the values ​​you need to enter in the dialog box before the setup and the commissioned printer.
