However, I feel somewhat regretful that the "interpretation" of some terms may not achieve the purpose of "interpretation" for those who do not understand it. In addition, Professor Ding’s interpretation of the latest terms and explanations has been cumulative. Of course, the majority of Professor Ding’s thoughts and judgments are more appropriate, but whether they are all the same, or whether they can be more appropriately improved In terms of translation or commentary, I think there is still room left. Therefore, I propose that we have already established such a good column and we should further encourage them to initiate the participation of experts and scholars both inside and outside the industry to participate in the discussion and to change the words of “one word” to “ "The House of Representatives," then its effectiveness will certainly be better and its effect will be even greater.

Recently, in the 211st issue, I saw the word Preflight listed by Professor Ding, translated as "Scheduled Order Software" and attached: "When the document is delivered and RIPed, it is necessary to check in advance whether the RIP processing is performed reliably or not. There will be no change, etc. The department will wait for the RIP to process the order of the software or the RIP application software functions.” I always feel that although I can't say it is not correct, I’m sure it’s quite appropriate and I still have room for discussion.

According to my own glimpse, "Preflight" is the customary word that the pilots made a series of necessary pre-checks before take-off to ensure flight safety and no accidents. It was used in digital file pre-checking to ensure that the RIP was obtained before processing. The accuracy and completeness of the digital archives prevent the use of unnecessary time, material and economic waste and losses.

The word "preflight" was borrowed from the flight and the RIP process was compared to taking off. If the necessary pre-checks are not properly taken before take-off, they are rashly taken off and it is difficult to conceive. Therefore, it is self-evident that the pre-checking of digital files before the RIP processing is necessary and important. Professor Ding's translation of "pre-ordered software" has not only failed to show the role of "Preflight", but also failed to reflect the important relationship with RIP. Which part of the "scheduled order software" is used? Amazing. If it is translated as "pre-checking before RIP processing", at least it will clarify the relationship between it and RIP processing. Is it better? What's more, "Preflight" can be used as a noun, referring to "preflighting" as a process, or as a verb, so that there is a verb Preflighting. Professor Ding’s translation of “predetermined sequence software” here seems to be inconsistent with his consistent emphasis on the principle of “reduction of translation”.

Second, in Prof. Ding’s commentary, “The department is the software that waits for RIP to process the arrangement order.” Inevitably, people will be misunderstood that Preflight simply arranges the processing order for the “waiting” RIP, and checks it and finds that the file may exist. The pre-checking effect of the problem or error is obscured.

Thirdly, Prof. Ding commented in the commentary: "It is to check in advance whether RIP processing can be reliably implemented." This seems to be to check the reliability of RIP processing, not to check the reliability of digital files before RIP processing. It is even more ambiguous.

Fourth, Preflight's pre-inspection content is not fixed, it should be increased or decreased as the technology develops and progresses. Whether the commentary can be simulated: In order to ensure that RIP processing can produce the expected and complete digital file output and avoid loss of manpower, material resources, and time, it is necessary to create a similar pilot for the relevant digital file before RIP processing.
