The 2007 Bottled Water World Design Awards was announced in Mexico City on the evening of September 13th. The contest attracted 169 works from 32 countries, creating a record number of entries.
The results of each award are as follows:
Best PET Bottle Award: A unique 1L and 1.5L PET bottle designed for high-end market by Canada's one liter water company;
Best Glass Bottle (Mainly for the Hotel and Restaurant Market) Award: Veen Waters, Finland;
Best Label Award: Fashionable and beautiful label designed by British Whitehole Springs for its Tufa Pure Active Water brand;
The Best Enhanced Water Consciousness Award: Based on Hint's American Restored Water Flavor Series;
Most Children's Idea Award: Kerry Foods for Kerry Spring Xtra, the first feature of the children's market in Ireland;
Best Innovative Packaging Award: Sidel (the world's lightest PET bottle, 50cl bottles weighs only 9.9g);
Best Marketing Campaign Award: Danone Volvic series brand water advertisement;
Best New Product Award: Thirsty Planet, a British charity brand;
The Best Sustainability Award: Iceland Water Group; the most holistic concept award: Canada's one liter water company.
