First, UV concept

UV is an abbreviation of ultraviolet (Ultra-Violet Ray). Industrial UV light source has a spectral range of 200nm-450nm.

UV A: 320-400nm

UV B: 290-320nm

UV C: 200-290nm

UV V: 390nm or more

Second, UV curing

UV curing is called UV Curing or UV Coating in English. UV curing is a photochemical reaction, that is, a liquid UV irradiation curable material is printed or coated onto a surface of a substrate or a workpiece and is hardened by UV light, and UV curing is performed. The traditional drying process is similar, but the principle is different. Traditional drying generally cures by volatilization of the solvent in the coating material, while the UV curing cross-linking is solvent-free.

Third, UV lamp

The UV lamp is a gas discharge lamp, and the gas discharge lamp is divided into an arc discharge and a glow discharge.

Arc discharge lamp, its working principle is: in the vacuum quartz tube to add quantitative high-purity mercury (mercury), through the two ends of the electrode to provide a voltage difference (pressure drop), resulting in ion discharge, resulting in ultraviolet radiation. Arc discharge lamps generally emit ultraviolet light at higher temperatures, commonly known as thermal ultraviolet light.

Glow discharge lamp, its working principle is: in the vacuum fluorescent tube inner wall uniformly coated with a thin layer of mercury composition, through the two ends of the electrode to provide a voltage difference (pressure drop), resulting in ion discharge, resulting in ultraviolet radiation. Glow discharge lamps generally emit lower temperature UV light, commonly known as cold light UV.

Fourth, the intensity of UV lamp

The intensity of the UV lamp depends on the power density of the UV lamp. The general specifications are:

40W/cm is 100W/inch

60W/cm is 1500W/inch

80W/cm is 200W/inch

120W/cm is 300W/inch

160W/cm is 400W/inch

240W/cm is 600W/inch

1000W/cm is 2500W/inch

2000W/cm is 5000W/inch

Fifth, the choice of UV lamp

First, the required power density and required curing width are located. The calculation method is as follows:

Supporting UV lamp power (w) = power (w/cm) * curing width (cm)

VI, the choice of UV lighting components

To ensure that the UV lamp works properly, the following elements must be guaranteed:

A. Choose matching lighting power

Matching leakage transformers/capacitors should be consistent with the voltage/current required by the UV lamps, the rated power/secondary voltage/operating current/insulation coefficient/pressure resistance of the leakage transformer and the capacity of the capacitor/pressure/chargeable discharge times , Directly determines the UV lamp's luminous efficiency / stability and life;

B. Adapting the fan to match the UV lamp power:

Exhaust capacity = 150 cubic meters / hour. kW * UV lamp power (KW)

Note: It is not allowed to cool the surface of the lamp with strong wind, otherwise the lamp surface temperature is too low will cause the lamp to extinguish the arc.

C. Select the appropriate reflector:
