The correct use of blanket

When using a blanket, if there is no new sheared blanket, then the first line of the blanket should be marked with the axis of the roller in a perpendicular direction. Otherwise, the elongation and thickness of the blanket will change. Ruggedness and other indicators, reduce the life of the blanket, but also affect the quality of printed products. At the same time when shearing, the directions of the shearing lines of the trailing edge and the cornice must be parallel and the lengths are the same, and the forces will be the same when tightened. Otherwise it will cause the printing pressure to be uneven, the network points will be empty.

The blanket of the blanket must be narrower than the blanket so that when the blanket is tight, both sides of the blanket can be tightly wrapped around the surface of the drum to prevent various impurities, cleaning fluids, water and other substances from penetrating the blanket on both sides and The surface of the blanket cylinder causes problems such as oxidation and rusting of the cylinder and delamination of the blanket.

Micropores on the surface, otherwise the oxidized conjunctiva will become dry and solid over time, resulting in a bright film on the surface of the blanket, which reduces the ability to absorb ink. If there is a bright film, it can be scrubbed with clean water, and then wipe it with gasoline or kerosene cloth and pumice powder. It can also be cleaned with a special cleaning agent.

If the blanket has a slight embossing phenomenon, or the transfer performance of the ink is reduced, it can be wiped with a blanket recovery agent and then wiped with water or a damp cloth, which can restore the elasticity and printing performance of the blanket.

Storage of blankets

Whether it is a blanket on a roller or a blanket without a roller, do not allow the blanket to come in contact with various oils, acids, alkalis, salts, chemicals, etc., and do not crush it so as not to damage the surface and damage the blanket. Its elasticity; blanket is afraid of light, heat and moisture, which will make the surface of the blanket sticky, crusted, cracked, hardened or fabric mildew and so on. The new blanket is best stored in a closed container, or in a well-ventilated, dry place, where the room temperature is controlled at 20°C and the relative humidity is preferably around 70%. If it is a cut-off blanket, it is better to lay the glue on the plastic surface, apply a layer of talc in the middle, and avoid applying sulphur powder, otherwise it will make its surface hardened and smooth.

Blanket repair

In the printing, the sticky surface of the blanket is often encountered, and due to some shredded paper, impurities, sand, etc. pressed into the surface of the blanket, the blanket may appear small pits or small holes, etc. Remediating in time will not have too much impact on the use of blankets. Currently, the repair methods commonly used by operators are generally as follows.

a rubbery sticky remedy

The viscose of the rubber blanket is mainly caused by its own poor oil resistance, or it often absorbs a large amount of washing liquid to cause it to expand. The severe stickiness can completely change the surface properties of the blanket so that it cannot be used; the phenomenon of slight stickiness also occurs. It will make the printing paper adhere to the surface of the blanket, not only affects the quality of the print, but it is difficult to continue printing. Therefore, once there is a sticky phenomenon, it is necessary to clean the blanket in time. It is best to use a highly volatile solvent. After scrubbing, clean it with a dry cloth in time so that it can absorb as little solvent as possible to reduce swelling. Applying talcum powder or sulfur powder on the surface of the blanket also has some effect.

2. Blanket relief

During printing, if it is found that the blanket is pressed to cause a partial depression and the image cannot be completely transferred, the low-pit must be promptly remedied. Generally, the surface of the blanket is affixed. To prevent the correct location of the low-profile area after the blanket is removed, mark the corresponding size with a pencil on the front surface of the blanket, and then remove the blanket. Follow the markings. Find the appropriate position on the opposite side of it and draw equal signs. Then select the paper with a thickness corresponding to the depression of the depression of the blanket, or torn or cut into the same size as the mark for patching. It is best to use a tearing method so that the edge of the paper stays stepped. When paste the paste or glue should not be too thick, in order to avoid drying after the lump; for patching the paper to be flat, can not make up too thick, otherwise it will increase the friction between the plate and the blanket, affect the life of the plate .
