The first feeling for KEEN
First of all, I am no stranger to KEEN brand shoes, because I am a full-time outdoor person. My first feeling of KEEN shoes is very comfortable, very user-friendly design, plus it has been committed to environmental protection products! Should be a good product! When I went to Greenfield to take this shoe, this shoe gave me the first impression is like a military product, military green appearance, get to know the collision head, a thick shock absorber! The overall look is compact and dynamic! Here are some personal feelings about this brand and this shoe before I tried it on and used it!
City assessment experience
First of all, I tried this shoe in the city from November 4th to November 6th, 2009. The first point is to try this shoe. The second point is to go to the Huanghuacheng Great Wall to cross the shoes and wear the shoes on the 7th. To prevent the new shoes from going through the intensity of walking to the foot to bring a strong foam on foot!
First of all, this shoe is very comfortable on one foot, this is because of the unique duck-shaped design of the front foot sole (see Figure 1)
Can make your forefoot fully stretched, not like some shoes designed to slender feet, put on a pinch, very uncomfortable! In order to test the feeling of this shoe in the city, I walk 5 kilometers from home every day to the subway station and take the subway to work! After 2 days of try-on, I feel that the shock absorption of this shoe is between the hiking shoes and the sports shoes. It is neither soft nor hard! Sometimes the subway station is going to have to take a few steps to catch the subway in order to catch the subway. When I run the force, the force of the forefoot is really very strong. Just like the running shoes, the braking time is also very clear! No slippery, unstoppable feeling! Later, after my research on this shoe, the original use of this shoe sole rubber and special texture of the sole structure, making this shoe has a very good grip and slip resistance! But in my past experience it seems that as long as it is a non-slip rubber sole with strong grip, it is often not very wearable! This is just my past experience How this shoe sole wear resistance depends on time to prove!
Overall, the feeling of wearing this shoe in the city gives me the feeling of comfort, novelty and unobtrusive appearance!
Outdoor assessment
On the 7th, I specially came to the Great Wall of Huanghuacheng. The Huanghuacheng Great Wall has always been known for its complex terrain and rugged terrain. The road conditions are divided into gravel roads, brick roads, mud and masonry mixed roads, forest roads crossing the road, and some small rock climbing conditions! It can be said that most of the outdoor road conditions here are included! It is a test of the climber itself, and it is very strict on the climbing equipment! Ideal for this pair of shoes! The section from the cliff to the platform is the crossing route of the forest area. The test is the grip and shock absorption ability of the shoes! Because we are a light ride through the day, so lighter! When walking, feel this shoe is still alive! This may be due to the reason for the midsole resin plate sandwich (see Figure 2).

Makes this shoe can eat the weight of your whole body's rapid march! I personally feel that this shoe is only suitable for walking lightly, do not use it again! Because this is a light hiking shoes! Because there are places where you climb the Great Wall, there are gravels on the steps, and you have to hurt the toes when you step up the stairs. What I am most satisfied with is the super slip resistance and grip of this shoe, which is the best performance I have ever worn through so many outdoor brand hiking shoes! Let me be satisfied! The upper of this shoe is made of a seamless soft shoe upper, which greatly improves the breathability and aesthetics of the shoe, but also reduces the overall weight of the shoe, but the mesh shoes have a fatal injury on the complex ground. Hanging, easy to lift a hanging ball! I have intimate contact with rocks from time to time along the uppers, but there is no obvious scratch on the back!

The S3 heel support structure gave me the feeling of wearing a sports shoe! There is no feeling after the heel activity, playing a very good protection! (See Figure 5)
Small details such as insoles are also in place! The insole is covered with a small space, maintaining a high degree of breathability, and there is a shock absorbing sponge on the back of the foot! Greatly increased comfort! More careful! (See Figure 6)
My overall assessment of this shoe is a very comfortable light hiking shoes! Have a chance to try it!
