1 Transferring Veish's vector library to the fly

Previously, Vesz provided a wealth of vector graphics, but not soaring. How can we make these soaring vector libraries? The first thing to do is to arrange the vector libraries in the Invensys by category. For example, arrange the 108 vector pictures in Animal into an Animal.pub file. Then open the Animal.pub file with Feiteng and drag and drop the vector images into the library management window in order and save them as Animal.odf file. By analogy, you can transfer all vector libraries in the Veitz library to the Fantasy Library Management window. If you want to use in multiple sets of Feiteng system, just copy the files in the ODF subdirectory under the Feiteng directory to the corresponding system.

2 clever use of image deformation tools

In the process of layout of newspapers, it is often the case that the font size is changed. The usual practice is to change the size by selecting the font size one by one. In fact, you can also use the image transformation tool to pull and stretch the title area, which is more arbitrary. Similarly, it can also be applied to the size adjustment of newspaper advertisements with complex content. It is only necessary to merge all the contents into a block and then push it, which is both fast and save.

3 "Partial distribution" into the magical effect of EPS

Inserting a WORD table in Feiteng cannot be resized. If the WORD table is “partially issued” to generate an EPS file and then inserted into Feiteng to resize it, it will not affect the rear-end launch. There are also many newspaper advertisers who are looking for e-newsletters. Because they can't open the files for Feiteng files, they can also use “partially distributed” EPS files so that they can be opened with PHOTOSHOP.

4 missing word solution

Fei Teng typeset will inevitably encounter an unusual rare words, then you can use the GBK code to enter the spelling input method, of course, but also consider the word played in the Feiteng after the output will not be missing words. If our back-end distribution software does not have GBK's fonts installed and we use GBK characters in Feiteng, then we need to set up GBK word downloads. If you can't even enter words that cannot be typed in, you can use only a few words. There are several methods that can be used depending on the word: 1 female 娲 complement word, slightly more complicated; 2 if you can open the stroke, you can write the text Convert to a curve, remove the unwanted parts (remember to change the line shape to a blank line); 3 can not be removed, you can use graphics, draw a graphic to wrap the required part, and then define the graphics as "cutting path" , and then merge with the text.

5 Making Special Effect Words: Texture Words

Although FeiTeng does not have powerful functions such as CorelDraw and PHOTOSHOP in graphics and image processing, after trying, it can achieve the same effect. For example, to create a texture word, first select the “right image transformation” item in the rightmost “material window”, and select “reduction effect”, “ellipse shape” and “step size” as 1 in the properties. Others can be set according to your preferences. Apply it to the layout, adjust the appropriate size, "copy and generate" its symmetrical new shape in the "mirror window", and change its color at the same time; enter the word "texture" in the space, and make a three-dimensional with a gradient Word; finally define this text as a "clipping path", adjust the position of the words and graphics, and merge them to complete the block.

6 Several issues that need to pay attention when using the Feiteng publishing software

1) Misunderstandings when downloading fonts

For off-site output (such as a print point), all fonts are usually set to download in the fly, which prevents the absence of fonts on the RIP side. In fact, if the RIP side is equipped with the required back-end fonts, there is no need to download them. Downloading will result in large PS files, slow output speeds, reduced word accuracy, more system resources, and other uncertainties. This may produce errors. We should set font download properties for different situations.

2) Use deformation tools with caution

Feiteng (3.1) often encounters illegal operations during typesetting. The reason for this is the use of merge blocks and deformation tools. At this time, you may want to try upgrading your graphics card driver. If you have similar problems, you should pay attention, otherwise you can only upgrade Feiteng software.

3) Set automatic save

Feiteng can set the time interval and save path for automatic file save. The latest version also has network backup function. Use this feature to prevent inconvenience caused by misuse.

4) Version consistency

Many printers use the PS file to make a copy. At this time, they should pay attention to the consistency of the Feiteng version and adopt a unified Feiteng version of the layout. This way the generated PS file will be the same, otherwise, it cannot be made.

5) RIP identification is the key

There are two ways to print Feiteng files. One is to print directly. It is a copy of the page and can only be used to look like it was used as a primary school. The second is RIP identification, which is to check the correctness of the PS through the PSPPRO. It is the key to confirming that there is no font or picture problem in the FOTRON layout. Only through RIP recognition can the correct final printing be guaranteed.
